THE "UPLIFTMENT PROJECT" AIMS TO BRING EMOTIONAL SUPPORT THROUGH WALL-ART AND DESIGN TO CANCER PATIENTS.
Mostly, the patients, as well as their relatives, spend countless hours in rather dismal areas of clinics, that simply lack the time and money to improve their surrounding during treatment.
I want to change that by creating digital artworks and bringing them to the walls of those areas in hospitals as large-scale murals.
In visual communications, we learned how design and visual arts can impact human emotions (for example through certain themes or color palettes) and in this project, I am going to use that knowledge in a positive way.
For the “Upliftment Project”, I would develop one digital artwork specifically for one different clinic a month and manually apply it to their wall. Preferably in spaces where people are forced to spend lots of time for example for Chemotherapy.
THESE ARE THE MAIN GOALS I WANT TO ACHIEVE WITH MY WALL ART.
THIS IS HOW IT COULD LOOK LIKE.
THESE ARE MY STEPS FOR EACH MONTH AND EACH CLINIC.
STEP 1
Pick and contact a clinic, that is willing to collaborate.
STEP 2
Develop a fitting visual concept based on the fact, that content, as well as colors, can have a strong impact on the patients.
STEP 3
Create a digital artwork, based on the concept, and present a mapped version to the clinic.
STEP 4
Transfer the approved digital artwork manually to the clinic’s space, using my experience in large scale painting.

POTENTIALLY SETTING UP A SHOP. MAKING THE ARTWORKS AVAILABLE AS LIMITED EDITIONS TO RAISE MONEY FOR THE CLINICS OR CANCER RESEARCH.
Due to very limited budgets and no time at hand, the problem of an uninspiring surrounding could never be prioritized in most clinics without the support of the Adobe Creative Residency, although art could really make a difference for the patients and staff there.
Since I have been confronted with this situation several times within my family in recent years, being enabled to have a positive impact with my skillset, would mean the world.
THANKS FOR HAVING A LOOK AT THIS PRESENTATION. I APPRECIATE IT.
